So this is System Shock: The Relatively Quick Run. I decided that I wanted to replay, and do commentary on one of my old favorite games. System Shock 1. BUT! Someone else was already doing a commentary run. So, I decided that because there wasn't a speed run of the game that I could find, I'd do that instead.
I also decided that I still wanted to do commentary. So you'll actually get to hear me yammer on while I play. Much like what I did with Deus Ex, I sped everything up. Only to 150% though because at 200% speed it'd be hard to understand what was said. Also because of a bit of trouble equalizing the sound, the first is overloud, and the second is overquiet. After that though I get it straightened out.
Only 8 segments, and I beat the game in a whopping hour and thirteen minutes!
Part 1: Hell on the hospital level
Welcome to Citidel Station! Waking up from a 6 month healing coma everything done in the prologue has predictably gone tits up.
Part 2: Silliness on the science level
So, we have to destroy the mining laser. So this video is taken up with that!
Part 3: Great victory in the groves
Laser destroyed, now onto purging one of the groves where Shodan is doing research.
Part 4: Mass killings on the Maintenance deck
Of course, simple flipping of a switch goes horribly wrong. Have to go back to deck 3 and fix part of the station before I can break it. Also, my first encounter with Diego!
Part 5: Stealing from the Storage deck
Now we have to blow up bits and bobs of the station to really annoy Shodan. But first get the explosives from the storage deck.
Part 6: Systems Engineering a disaster
So, we have the explosives, now to blow up the antenna relays that Shodan is trying to use to download herself onto Earth.
Part 7: Scuttling the station and Skipping scurity
Alright! Almost done! I have to set the reactor to overload, and then escape to the bridge. I actually skip two parts here. I'm supposed to go to deck 5 to use the escape pods, but that always fails. I also bypass most of deck 8.
Part 8: Breaking and entering the Bridge
The end! Everything I have worked for in the previous videos comes to fruition!
