There is only one system of choice when playing Rayman Raving Rabbids. That is the Nintendo Wii. The game’s story follows that of a horde of alien raving Rabbids invading the planet and capturing the main character, Rayman. With the capture, the Rabbids place Rayman into a coliseum of mini-games. There is no such thing as a good collection of mini-games unless at least one of those games is rhythm based. With the motion sensing abilities of the Wii Remote and nun-chuck, the Wii version will have you moving your arms and hands with the beat.
I assume the rabbits are rabid explaining their naming, Rabbids. What other explanation can I give for the Rabbids to challenge Rayman to a dancing competition? Either way, this is one of those games, where you can not help but smile and possibly laugh at just how silly it is. Rayman is in the front and center and all that needs to be done is shake left or right controller as the Rabbid slides over the two platforms on each of Rayman’s side. Each song is broken up into nine parts resulting with after the completion of each part, a Rabbid will join Rayman as one of his back up dancers. It is a hilarious sight.
Also, did I forget to mention that the songs are all sung by the Rabbids themselves? Their Rabbid lisp combined with a popular song from several genres adds to a fun 3 minute experience. There are only seven songs though, which is ok since it is just a mini-game. These songs are: Misirlou - Good Times - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Hip Hop Hooray - La Bamba - Dark Iron Bunnies - The Butcher Deejay. This one is definitly a fun game to embrace even if it is fairly short.
