What If Old School NES Games Had Lyrics
Posted by Frankie on 12/23/2008 2:46:00 AM
I was fortunate enough to come across this "BrentalFloss" fellow again recently. I heard one his songs a couple months back and it was slightly amusing. But lately his recent works have proven to be far more entertaining. The boy is getting better!
His "thing" is to create original lyrics for old school games like the 80s Nintendo Entertainment System. I filtered though his songs and comprised a collection I feel are his top 5 and two bonus humorous song concepts. Enjoy!

Metal Gear Solid Attacks LittleBigPlanet

We knew that Sony would be bringing a Solid Snake or ahem... an Old Snake costume to be used in LittleBigPlanet. We all suspected it would be something similar to how Sony gave us a Kratos (God Of War) or Nariko (Heavenly Sword) costumes but with a price tag attached. With the recent video trailer though, boy could were we wrong.

Here we have here a group of Playstation Home people jamming in the Plaza to MJ's Billy Jean. This is what bored people do when they are at home. Either way it looks like they were having fun.
Dragon Ball DS

A new Dragon Ball DS game is in the works and it is sure to make any Dragon Ball fan happy. It is chock full of Dragon Ball fan service that even though the trailer is entirely in Japanese it will impress all. The biggest aspect I'm most impressed with is how much better this looks compared to the Zelda DS game.
New Resident 5 Trailer

The sequel to one of the greatest games ever, Resident Evil 5 has just released a new trailer. And yes, Resident Evil 4 was so different that it was a first for many things in the series that I am considering it to be a new franchise. But still, the new Resident Evil 5 trailer has got me very excited simply by knowing the fact that the game will feature online Co-op play. What is better than a surviving a onslaught of enemies with cool weapons? Doing so when a friend has got your back!If you liked No more Heroes...

A brand new game Mad World was just announced for the Nintendo Wii. It reminds me very much of No More Heroes on its take of a unique visual style combined with over the top game play mixed with humor!

Naruto Shippuden: Shinobi Retsuden II
Posted by Frankie on 3/27/2008 8:10:00 AM
The first Nintendo DS Naruto 3D fighting game released in Japan was atrocious. A year later, the American release of the first game had improvements and some new characters. However much like exactly what happened with the Naruto Gamecube game, their first attempt is always something that has so much potential but fails to live up to what it could have been.
This trailer for the newest addition Naruto Shippuden: Shinobi Retsuden II is hopefully exactly what the fans have been drooling over for! This time there will be 30 characters to be able to fight with. Also, to add more life to the game, the story mode will have you running around Konoha as well as in dungeons in 3D. The fighting occurs through random battles much like the Pokemon games.
Lets just hope this time this Naruto game can make its fans happy.

Rock Band coming to Wii
Posted by Frankie on 3/25/2008 10:55:00 AM
June 22nd is the day Wii owners will be able to get her hands on Rock Band! A Special Edition package including drums, a wireless guitar, and a mic, for $169.99 will be its price point. Standalone instruments will also be available. This Wii edition of Rock Band will feature 63 songs and also includes five "bonus songs" which have yet to be announced which songs they will be. I am particularly attracted to the white drums which match the Wii's color scheme. There is nothing wrong with having all your console accessories match.
GameStop has already listed a price for the wireless guitar for $59.99. There will be no down-loadable content available, which is why the Wii version will have the five additional songs on the game disc. So if you have been wanting to purchase Rock Band but your console of choice is the Wii, now your problems have been answered!
