2-10-03 Dare-Devil

Boy. Did Daredevil suck balls. I was hoping for a wonderfully tragic romance like the one I read in the original Frank Miller comics. I went in expecting a decent adaptation of the love story that would be nice and cathartic on this depressing Valentine's Day. Instead I got watered down Hollywood romance glossed over. And I swear they ripped off David Mack's Echo character and mixed her in with Elektra. Ugh. That whole playground fight was such a lame ripoff. So retarded. Plus they didn't even play My Immortal at the right scene. Even before I heard it was in the film, I thought it would be amazing at the end of the film, not the middle. Ugh. Anyway, this was written before that whole disappointment, back when I looked forward to the film.

Hope. Thats what we were full of. The Dare-Devil movie showed promise, and our excitement for it showed through the writing and art. A movie reference was made, the school president was even mentioned, and even Mr.T made an apearance. And it even had a good punch line full of comic reference. It was well done. Unfortunitly the same can not be said about the movie. But funny thing, though, to think that the Ghost Rider movie finally came out in 2007. ...So many years after this strip.
